Every young singer deserves a place where they feel comfortable, encouraged and free to explore their voice.

At The Honest Voice, I work personally with your child in a warm and supportive one-to-one environment. Together, we’ll develop their voice in a way that feels natural, expressive and uniquely their own.

Whether your child is singing for the first time, hoping to grow in confidence or ready to refine their technique, every lesson is shaped around their individual ability, interests and goals.

I am passionate about allowing each performer to find their own sound by helping them to dive into the depths of the lyrics. Every great singer is also a great storyteller. Finding the story and how it relates to us, is also how we find our voice.

Meet Tam

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Tam Connor, and I have been performing as a professional vocalist and actress for over 30 years.

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, and I began singing professionally at the age of 9 in a local performance of The King and I. Throughout my early career, I appeared in many theatrical productions both in and out of NYC, such as Brighton Beach Memoirs, The Who's Tommy, Phantom, Little Shop of Horrors, and many more.

I then began singing with live bands in Las Vegas and Chicago, and then went on to form my own female vocal trio - writing and performing our own original music. While in Las Vegas, I sang in many large production shows as well as hotel/casino house bands at the MGM Grand, New York New York, Bellagio, Paris, Venetian, The Palms and more.

After performing as a lead singer for Royal Caribbean for 4 years, I met my husband. We welcomed our son in 2015 and relocated to the UK in 2020.

In 2021, I began teaching singing and acting for Musical Theatre to ages 5-16 at Footsteps Performance Academy in Tonbridge, Kent, as well as private vocals. I now work solely from my home studio in Paddock Wood, Kent, UK coaching privately one-on-one.

I have studied privately with fabulous coaches, and I have never stopped learning. I love what I do, and I now love sharing the passion for an honest interpretation of any performance.
