Meet Tam
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Tam Connor, and I have been performing as a professional vocalist and actress for over 30 years.
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, and I began singing professionally at the age of 9 in a local performance of The King and I. Throughout my early career, I appeared in many theatrical productions both in and out of NYC, such as Brighton Beach Memoirs, The Who's Tommy, Phantom, Little Shop of Horrors, and many more.
I then began singing with live bands in Las Vegas and Chicago, and then went on to form my own female vocal trio - writing and performing our own original music. While in Las Vegas, I sang in many large production shows as well as hotel/casino house bands at the MGM Grand, New York New York, Bellagio, Paris, Venetian, The Palms and more.
After performing as a lead singer for Royal Caribbean for 4 years, I met my husband. We welcomed our son in 2015 and relocated to the UK in 2020.
I now teach singing and acting for Musical Theatre to ages 5-16 at Footsteps Performance Academy in Hadlow, Kent, as well as private vocals.
I have studied privately with fabulous coaches and I never stopped learning. I love what I do, and I now love sharing the passion for an honest interpretation of any performance.
I am passionate about allowing each performer to find their own sound by helping them to dive into the depths of the lyrics. Every great singer is also a great storyteller. Finding the story and how it relates to us, is also how we find our voice.
